The PCI Ventures at Pennovation Works Showcase took place on November 2nd at the Pennovation Center, where a diverse group of entrepreneurs, faculty members, investors, and industry leaders gathered for an inspirational evening of networking and education. As part of the event, PCI Ventures portfolio companies and Pennovation Works member companies showcased their current work to attendees.
During the program, Kamna Giare-Patel, CEO of Cerespectus, and Thomas Han, CEO of Peroxitech, shared their respective startup journeys and discussed their companies. Cerspectus was founded by Bryan Pukenas, MD, Associate Professor of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Associate Professor of Radiology in Neurosurgery, and Peroxitech was co-founded by Aron Fisher, MD, Emeritus Professor of Physiology at Penn Medicine and Sheldon Feinstein, PhD, a former senior research investigator in Penn’s Institute for Environmental Medicine.
Additionally, the PCI Ventures 2023 CEO of the Year Award was presented to Eric Corkhill from Neuralert Technologies, which was co-founded by Steven Messe, MD, Professor of Neurology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and James Weimer, PhD, former Adjunct Assistant Professor, Computer and Information Science at Penn Engineering.
