In February 2025, Penn Vet used a proprietary Augmented Reality (AR) tool developed by medical imaging company Novarad to help a terrier mix named Geddy, who became the first dog to undergo successful brain surgery using AR and infrared real-time guided resection. Penn Vet obtained access to this technology through an evaluation agreement with Novarad that was facilitated by PCI. Read more here.
