PCI, in partnership with Penn Engineering, co-hosted a commercialization speaker series event for faculty, researchers and students featuring R. Nick Bryan, MD, PhD, FACR, Emeritus Professor of Radiology at Penn Medicine. Bryan presented on “Software as a Medical Device” and shared his journey co-founding Galileo CDS, a startup that is developing medical device software that analyzes brain MR images to provide clinical decision support to radiologists. Bryan shared in detail his experience with FDA approval processes and answered questions about academic startup formation.
