EnaChip Leverages Magnetics to PowerNext-Generation Microdevices

PCI Ventures spinout EnaChip, co-founded by Mark Allen, PhD, the Alfred Fitler Moore Professor and Professor of Electrical and Systems Engineering in Penn Engineering, was featured in Magnetics Business & Technology Magazine for its efforts in advancing wafer-level magnetic technology to enhance power management in microelectronic products. By electroplating specialized magnetic alloys directly onto semiconductor substrates, EnaChip offers innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective magnetic solutions for new classes of electronic products featuring improved integrated power.

Their platform manufacturing technology, known as Trifecta, enables ultra-fast deposition times and significant reductions in manufacturing costs, making it feasible to integrate power efficiently on virtually any type of semiconductor chip. Currently, EnaChip is fundraising, working with strategic partners, and focusing on applications of the technology in power management ICs, isolated power, and voltage regulators. Read more here
