Penn Researchers Study New Treatment Options for Brain Cancer Patients

A team of Penn researchers led by Suyash Mohan, MD, PDCC, Professor of Radiology at Penn Medicine, are exploring whether MRIs that measure the “temperature” of tumors could enhance treatment for glioblastoma, a deadly brain cancer.  The novel approach uses Tumor Treating Fields (TTF) therapy, which sends electric fields through the brain to inhibit cancer growth.
