Penn Researchers Study New Treatment Options for Brain Cancer Patients

A team of Penn researchers are exploring whether MRIs that measure the “temperature” of tumors could enhance treatment for glioblastoma, a deadly brain cancer.  The novel approach uses Tumor Treating Fields (TTF) therapy, which sends electric fields through the brain to inhibit cancer growth. This therapy, combined with precise AI-powered MRIs, may help glioblastoma patients live longer by allowing for more responsive treatment adjustments. Read more here
