Penn spinout Avisi Technologies raised $4.06 million in a seed round led by Accanto Partners.
Avisi was founded in 2017 by Penn students Rui Jing J., the company’s CEO, and Brandon Kao and Adarsh Battu, who were studying business and engineering. The group developed the idea to use nanotechnology to improve how glaucoma is treated.
Jiang said the investment funds will be used to help carry out the company’s clinical development of their lead product VisiPlate and to support additional research and development activities.
