From May 6 – 12, Penn participated in the 12th annual Philly Tech Week, an event hosted by tech news organization Technical.ly to showcase some of the city’s best technology and innovation. Penn kicked off the event with robotics discussions and demos during the Penn Robotics Discussion and Showcase, which was held at the Pennovation Center and hosted by PCI and Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT).
Another highlight of Tech Week was the Philly Startup Leaders Entrepreneur Expo, where PCI, PCI Ventures and Pennovation Works set up on ‘University Row’ to enjoy an evening of networking with Philly’s most renowned tech entrepreneurs.
The event concluded with the Introduced Conference, where Penn Associate Vice Provost and Managing Director of PCI John Swartley, and Bhavana Mohanraj, PhD of PCI Ventures, had a conversation with Technical.ly CEO Chris Wink at a pre-recorded session about the future of local innovation ecosystems in the aftermath of the pandemic.
